Ingredients
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 lemon wedge
2 oz elderflower liqueur
1 oz gin
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1 oz simple syrup
ice, for shaking
8 oz champagne
lemon peel twists, for garnish
Directions
- Pour the sugar onto a small plate. Squeeze the lemon wedge around the rim of two champagne flutes. Dip the rims in the sugar to coat the edges. Set aside.
- Combine the liqueur, gin, lemon juice and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice. Cover, and shake vigorously until the outside is very cold (about 20 seconds). Strain the cocktail into the glasses. Top with champagne. Garnish with lemon twists.
