Apple Cider Sangria

Ingredients
1 cup brandy
2 cups apple cider
1 apple, thinly sliced
1 pear, cored and sliced
1 orange, sliced
1 small lemon, sliced
2 cinnamon sticks
5 whole cloves
4 star anise
1 bottle dry red wine
Directions
- In a plastic container or large zip-top bag, combine brandy and apple cider. Stir to combine. Add fruit and spices. Let soak for 6 to 24 hours. When ready to serve, pour mixture into punch bowl or pitcher. Remove cloves. Add wine; stir. Serve over ice.
- Note: You can also serve sangria warm. Bring all the ingredients to a light simmer, and turn off heat.
