Emmolo Sauvignon Blanc - 750 Milliliter, $19.99
The Emmolo style is crisp, fresh and dry, created from grapes grown in Napa and Solano countries. These two regions lie next to each other, sharing a maritime climate and exceptional soils. Less well-known than its famous neighbor, Solano is home to a small, secluded area of land that is also idyllic, with heat buffered by a cool sea breeze. Our name: The Emmolos (EM-oh-lo) immigrated from Italy to Napa in 1923 and have continued to farm as a livelihood ever since. Today, I oversee my grandparents' vineyards and many of the grapes in this wine are grown on their property. We often enjoy lunches together with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. I feel fortunate for our long history in Napa - and the chance to explore new territory in Suisun - Jenny Wagner.

Forefathers Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, 2011 - 750 Milliliter, $19.49
I have found it is impossible for one vineyard site to produce great Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet sauvignon and Shirza grapes but these are the wines I love to make. The Forefathers concepts is my salvation because we can farm separate appellations for each of these three varieties from three vineyards around the New World. I consider these appellation to be the Forefather appellations for each variety. Being in the perfect place eliminates the need to blend, with complexity coming from the soil and microclimate. This wine is 100% single vineyard, 100% single variety, and 100% single appellation. The Wax Eye Vineyard in Marlborough screams of citrus. Not too grassy and not too much grapefruit but a beautiful balance. High on the east facing glacial soils of the Omaha Beach above the Hawkesbury River, we gain more ripeness than the deeper soils on the valley floor. The fully exposed river sites develop more slowly which really allows the fruit to show through. This wine will make your mouth water for that second glass. Being sustainable, the Wax Eye Vineyard is a very unique place and has been touted as such by some of the most esteemed wine writers. Imported by Goldschmidt Vineyards Healdsburg, CA.
