Often, great natural products are created by people who want something better for themselves or their families. So it is with CARA B Naturally, a new line of multi-ethnic, natural hair and body products for babies and children.
Company founder Landra Booker Johnson was inspired by her own two children, starting when her son was about a year old in 2007. She realized that many of the haircare products targeted at ethnic children were filled with harsh chemicals and synthetic ingredients. And she felt because children’s skin and hair are so naturally beautiful, parents should not have to subject them to unnatural, potentially unsafe treatments. So Johnson, a former journalist, recruited her sister, Kristi Booker, a marketing expert, and the two launched CARA B Naturally in 2010.
Their shampoos, conditioners, soaps and other personal care products are all-natural, and safe for babies and toddlers as well as older children. The products contain no parabens, petrolatum, phthalates, sulfates, mineral oil, artificial fragrances or artificial preservatives.
Because CARA B Naturally uses only fine raw ingredients, they have been certified natural by the Natural Products Association, the largest U.S. non-profit organization dedicated to the natural products industry. This is the only personal care product line aimed at ethnic children that has been recognized in this manner.
Products from this family-run business are located in the Healthy Living department at FRESH. And one more reason to feel good about buying CARA B Naturally products for your family: The company has a Giving Back Naturally program, which gives a percentage of every purchase to charity.
